Ayurvedic for Diabetes

Diabetes is a metabolic disease which occurs due to inadequate insulin production and is associated with an increased sugar content of the blood and appearance of sugar in the urine.

7 Ayurvedic Remedies Tips for Diabetes Control

As per Ayurvedic, there are three mind-body constitutions (Kapha, Pitta, and Vata) which are known as tridoshas. Diabetes occurs due to imbalances in these doshas.

Ayurvedic treatment is focused on diet modification and lifestyle changes.

Herbs, yoga, massages, saunas, fasting, strict diet regimes are considered to be a part of the ayurvedic remedies for diabetes control.

1. Tulsi Leaves, Neem Leaves and Belpatras

Presence of antioxidants in all these components, the free radical scavenging activity of superoxide dismutase and glutathione increases that enables pancreas gland’s functioning and better blood sugar regulation.

Stir the extract of 10 tulsi, 10 neem and 10 belpatras leaves. Take this mixture with water on an empty stomach to reduce the sugar content in the blood.

2. Bael Leaves

Bael leaves have antidiabetic characteristics. Diabetic patients should consume these extract of these leaves.

Another effective way is to mix around 15 ml of bael leaves juices with honey. This concoction can be taken 3 times a day for diabetes.

3. Ground Bay Leaf, Turmeric and Aloe Vera

Take a mixture of half tbsp of ground bay leaf, half tbsp of turmeric and one tbsp of aloe vera gel. Consume this mixture twice a day before lunch and dinner. It helps to control blood sugar levels attributed to the high content of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

4. Jamun

Jamun contains alkaloid jamboline or antimellin that helps to prevent the conversion of starch into sugar. So chewing of 4-5 jamun leaves can be beneficial for curing diabetes.

Consume 1 tbsp of jumun seeds powder with lukewarm water twice a day.

5. Amla

Amla fruit curative properties are widely known. Take 20 ml of juice twice a day can be immensely good for Diabetes control.

6. Banyan Tree Bark

Presence of a compound called Leucocyanidin that stimulates the insulin secretion. The decoction of the banyan tree bark can be an effective ayurvedic remedy. Take 20 gm of banyan tree bark and heat it into four glasses of water until the water is reduced to almost one glass.

7. Methi Seeds

Methi is a natural remedy for diabetes control and works surprises in curing. Methi seeds are a rich source of soluble fibres that help to control the digestion and absorption of sugars.
